R. Dean Beddow O.D.
Dean Beddow has been a part of Broome Optical since 1966. An Iowan by birth, Dr. Beddow graduated from the University of Iowa and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He holds membership in the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
Dean's wife, Leona, is retired from Amarillo College and has a pottery and photo gallery in Sunset Center. His family includes one grown daughter and son, and a very cute granddaughter. Dean and Leona enjoy motorcycles, working in their beautiful yard and travelling the US National Parks. They are active members of Hillside Christian Church.
Dean is perhaps the hardest working member of the Broome team and plans "to work another 10 years!" He is enjoying the "new" Broome Optical partnership with Drs. Hoang, Martin, Nossaman and Williams.

Mai-Vy Hoang, O.D.
Mai-Vy Hoang is the newest member of the Broome Optical professional staff. Born in Viet Nam, Dr. Hoang's family moved to Amarillo in 1993. She graduated from West Texas A&M University and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from University of Houston College of Optometry. She did an externship at Northeastern State University Tallequah College of Optometry. She is certified as a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist.
Mai-Vy is married to John Nguyen and is expecting their first baby (a boy!) this year. She enjoys spending time with family and good friends, baking, gardening and many outdoor sports. She is active in the community and volunteers frequently to represent Broome Optical in health fairs and school health and career programs.
Dr. Hoang adds a breath of fresh air to the Broome Optical office. She is full of youthful energy and knowledge in the latest technology for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease.

Jimmy A. Martin, O.D.
Jimmy A. Martin came to Broome Optical in 1997 after beginning his optometric career in Venita, Oklahoma. He graduated college and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University in Tallequah, OK.
A man of many talents, Dr. Martin was a percussionist in high school and college bands. He taught high school in Broken Arrow and is also a former scuba instructor! He is married to Kim and they have three beautiful daughters, one Schnauzer (LuLu) and one Boston Bulldog (Spike). He enjoys camping in the great outdoors, attending Amarillo Symphony concerts, landscape painting and watching college and Dallas Cowboy football. He is active in Southwest Church of Christ and the Tascosa Band and Orchestra Parents.
Dr. Martin is the "techie" of the office and is deep in the middle of our current software transition. He is excited that these changes in technology will allow him and the other doctors of Broome Optical to better take care of their patient's eye care needs.

Neal D. Nossaman, O.D.
Neal Nossaman grew up in Amarillo in an optometry family. His father, Dr. Francis W. Nossaman, practiced optometry in Amarillo from 1964 to 2003. Neal, his father, mother and sister operated Martindale Eyecare Center in north Amarillo until 2005 when Neal joined the Broome Optical family. He graduated from Amarillo College, Texas Christian University, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Nossaman is deeply involved in the Amarillo community, serving 12 years on the Amarillo College Board of Regents, and has been a board member of the Amarillo Museum of Art, American Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Amarillo College Foundation. He currently serves on the board of the Amarillo Symphony. His partner of 18 years, Greg Welch, is employed at B&W Pantex and carries on the family tradition of giving back to the community. They are active members of First Christian Church, where Neal serves on the music ministry team.
Neal is also excited about upcoming changes at the "new" Broome Optical, and "wants to carry the reputation of excellence in eye care long into the 21st century!"

Joe D. Williams, O.D.
Joe Williams is a native Texan raised in Oklahoma. He did his undergraduate education at Oklahoma State University and Northeastern State University. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tallequah. He has practiced optometry for 26 years, 19 years at Broome Optical.
Dr. Williams outside interests include listening to music and playing golf. He is an accomplished pianist and plays regularly with the Khiva Jazz Band.
Joe is married to Patsy and they have two grown daughters, Kelley and her husband Jeremy, and Kacie. "Enjoying precious moments with friends and family" is what Joe treasures most in life.
